Bought this classic years ago, read the updated but rubbish version 'How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Digital Age' and then forgot about reading the original - until recently. The ideas are quite simple and it reminds me of Alain de Botton's idea that a lot of what human beings need is rediscovering what we already know. It is clear to me that HKers desperately need to read this book, for I see too many people around who commit mistakes or do not do the recommended things discussed in the book. This book would do a lot of good to our HK politicians too. If only they did much reading...
